Originally posted on Reddit This is a story of resilience. I’ve hated being bald since I first had to shave my head about 10 years ago. I've been through it all: Leukaemia, chemo, radiation, and a stem cell transplant. I'm 2 years post-transplant now and smashing it! The Turning Point: At the start of last year, my wife and I separated. My confidence was shot. I decided to give treatment a real go before finally saying goodbye to the idea of having hair. The Multi-Step Regimen: Oral Minoxidil: 1mg daily (Started November 2025). Oral Finasteride: 1mg daily (Added December 2025). Microneedling: 0.5mm once a week. Topical: Peptides and serums at night (to avoid greasiness in the morning). The Transformation: I've gotten to the point where I can use hair fibers effectively. I no longer feel like I have to wear a hat every waking moment. The confidence boost has been absolutely huge. The Future: I am still planning to get a hair transplant later this year, but I am stoked with the progress the medications have given me so far. It can only get better from here.
